What is coaching & mentoring and what is the value of it in leadership?

Coaching and mentoring is an exceptionally effective leadership and management tool, enabling you to support and develop your team and individuals, through the challenges and decisions that life poses. You can train as a coach with us to support your team, or become a professionally qualified coach.

You will have the opportunity to build a network with other coaches and mentors by joining regional and special interest groups, or through volunteering opportunities.

Level 3 Coaching in the Workplace

This starter qualification will give you the core skills and experience you need to enter the world of coaching. This condensed qualification is for managers and those with significant responsibility for effective coaching and mentoring as part of their daily role within an organisational context. This qualification is also ideal for individuals who wish to move into a development role or start a career as a freelance coach or mentor.

EMCC

Our Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) accredited programmes are paired with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). The EMCC exists to develop, promote, and set the expectation of best practice in mentoring, coaching, and supervision globally for the benefit of society.

ICF

Those wishing to achieve International Coaching Federation (ICF) Professionally Certified Coach (PCC) track can use our ILM training to complete the certification via the portfolio path.

Meet our team

Mike Crofts

Mike is a strong advocate for positive leadership and management. He has spoken extensively on the power of effective leadership, including writing for the Independent and appearing on the BBC. He is an experienced leader himself, having served in Afghanistan and set up the charity 3Pillars Project, before founding Amodigo.

Abbie Taft

Abbie heads up Learning and Ops. She ensures the training we design and deliver is meaningful, supports the ambition of both employee and employer, and answers a real workplace requirement. Abbie’s drive is built on her experience in consultancy, HR in the SME environment and time as an Army Officer.

Milka Fisiher

Milka has a background in Psychology, Forensic Psychology and uses psychological approaches in mentoring to underpin her ability to engage people. Milka recognises the value of holistic personal development, in addition to her Masters in Psychology, she is a qualified Personal Trainer.
