| Shazam! evokes the aroma of the Marrakesh Medina. It first existed only as fiction, in Sarah’s perfume-inspired novel, The Scent of Possibility, then she decided to bring it to life to remind her of wandering around the ancient streets of the spice soukh. At its heart is a19th Century style classic amber base: dark labdanum balsam and soft vanillin. Then we stir in a whole spice market: frankincense, patchouli, pink pepper, juniper berries, basil, cedar, cardamon and cocoa. As our imaginations take us swooping low over the bustling square, Jemaa el-Fnaa, we get a burst of freshly squeezed oranges. |
